There It stands; an Angel in the flesh.
Clothed in light, serenity is in Its expression.
This Angel of Light; it is a curious creature clothed in beauty and power.
Intrigued, I draw myself to Its side; curiosity is my lead.
Never has such beauty, such majesty been before me.
A fierce warmth, so calming and pure emanates from Your presence.
My heart reaches out, searching for the warmth of Yours.
But alas, only this empty coldness is found.
A mask falls heavily to the ground, and darkness is now Yours.
Your icy, sneering fingers rip at my heart.
Reason and emotion battle within me with a fiery vengeance.
Oh Angel, you are my end; Angel of darkness you are my Destroyer.
Bearer of death and blackness leave me now.
This illusion of light plagues me like a forgotten dream; lost forever.
Phantom, You destroyer of all things good, why must You haunt me?
I long to be free of this cloak of darkness; I strain to shed its weight.
Though I struggle, I remain in your constricting clutches.
Your grip ever tightens around me; my eyes start to dim.
As I slip into oblivion it is now that I see the hard reality.
I, the slave, am my own captor.
